Sahara models come standard with the 2.0-liter turbo four, and its 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque flow through an eight-speed automatic. Buyers can also choose the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft, and a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 making 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft powers the Willys 392 and Moab 392.

The two-door turbo earns EPA estimates of 20 mpg city and 23 highway. Off the pavement, the Rubicon leans on a heavy-duty Dana 44 front axle, an electronic front sway bar disconnect, and Tru-Lok lockers at both ends, all working with the 4:1 Rock-Trac system. Pair the six-speed manual with the 4.88 axle and its crawl ratio can reach 100:1.

The Sahara comes standard with Alpine premium audio, an integrated off-road camera, and a universal garage door opener. The ParkView rear backup camera and Hill-Start Assist come on every 2027 Wrangler, and so does a full airbag package: advanced multistage front airbags, supplemental side airbags, and seat-mounted side airbags, plus an occupant classification system.

The Sahara comes standard with Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection, ParkSense rear park assist, automatic high beams, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, and the Willys 392 and Moab 392 share that equipment. Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus comes on every trim above the base Sport, and a safety group is the way to add blind-spot monitoring and rear park assist to a Sport S, Willys, or Rubicon.

Nappa leather is included on the Rubicon X, Willys 392, and Moab 392, and Rubicon buyers can order Nappa seats with 8-way power adjustment and power lumbar. The Sahara takes a different route, with McKinley-trimmed upholstery on 8-way power front seats. In an Illinois January, the standard heated front seats and heated steering wheel on the Sahara and four-door Rubicon earn their keep quickly.

Taking the doors off any Wrangler requires no tools, and the windshield folds down as well. For four-door models, Jeep offers the Sky One-Touch Power Top and bills it as a class exclusive. Hardtop fans can choose a three-piece top in black or body color, while the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, and Rubicon leave the factory with a Black Sunrider soft top.

Special editions add personality for 2027. The Sarge wears '41 Green accents and wheels with 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires, the Willys-based Laredo comes with the Xtreme 35 Package and a tan soft top, and the Rubicon-based JL-2A pairs retro 17-inch wheels painted Joose with electronic locking front and rear differentials.
