The 2024 Dodge Hornet’s two-liter four-cylinder DOHC engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Dodge’s newest Hornet model offers drivers 268 horsepower with 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hornet’s fuel economy is one of the highest in the CUV class at an EPA-estimated 29 MPG on the highway and 21 MPG in the city for a combined EPA-estimated score of 24 MPG.
Interior
The Hornet’s newly updated cabin was designed with a focus on comfort. The seats are trimmed in cloth and leatherette, the floors are carpeted from the front to the rear, and the door trim inserts are made with vinyl. Both the front and rear seats have cupholders and door bins for storage, and the steering wheel features mounted controls for media volume and cruise control.
The spacious interior of the 2024 Hornet allows space for four passengers in addition to the driver. The driver’s and front passenger’s seats have six-way seating adjustments, and the rear seats are a connected bench with 60/40 split fold for customizability in rear storage. The cargo area has plenty of space for shopping trips and family outings with 27 cubic feet of room, but you can make even more room by folding down the rear bench’s seats.
Cruise Control
The newest Hornet iteration comes equipped with the intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control program with distance pacing. You can set a preferred following distance from the vehicle ahead of you, and Adaptive Cruise Control will work to maintain that distance regardless of speed.
ParkSense
All 2024 Hornet models include a rear parking sensor, and a front sensor is available as an add-on. The ParkSense program takes the stress and guesswork out of tricky parallel or perpendicular parking situations by equipping you with a rearview camera feed and helpful guidelines.
Blind Spot Detection
The included Blind Spot Detection Warning system will help you stay aware of the traffic around you. The system will warn you if you have your blinker on and a vehicle is approaching the corresponding blind spot.
Stability Systems
All 2024 Hornets include systems such as ABS/driveline traction control and electronic stability control. The latter has anti-rollover technology to help keep you and your passengers safe in poor road conditions or during emergency maneuvers.
