Trim Levels (Exterior)
At every trim level the Hornet features an aggressive and streamlined profile that seems designed to cut through the air. The base GT trim comes with heated mirrors, body-color mirror caps, and rain-sensitive windshield wipers. On the GT Plus, you'll find many of the same exciting features, including automatic high-beam headlamps and a GT upper and lower mesh grille. For those who value performance, the R/T trim offers sporty enhancements as well as a chrome R/T badge. The R/T Plus, on the other hand, is the embodiment of luxury, flaunting a hands-free power liftgate.
Engine (Power)
Engineered for exhilarating performance, the new 2024 Dodge Hornet engine lineup will take your breath away with pulse-pounding power. The GT trims feature a 2.0-liter I4 engine that generates 268 horsepower married to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The R/T trims, on the other hand, house a plug-in hybrid system. This innovative setup integrates a 1.3-liter I4 engine with an electric motor that pumps out a combined 288 horsepower, mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
With its responsive handling and flexible drive modes, driving the Hornet is pure pleasure. The GT trims deliver an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The R/T trims outdo themselves with an estimated 77 mpg equivalent combined with the plug-in hybrid powertrain. The R/T model also sports column-mounted paddle shifters and a class-exclusive PowerShot feature, capable of boosting engine output by an additional 30 horsepower for up to 15 seconds. All trim levels can tow up to 2,000 pounds and come with an all-wheel-drive system, highlighting the vehicle's utility along with its sterling performance.
Interior
